


1. Eat a Balanced Breakfast
Starting your day off with the right foods can help you make the most of your day. Food brings energy and nutrients to the body, so eating a balanced meal will make your day go better and smoother. To eat a balanced breakfast, you should have a protein on your plate like eggs or oatmeal made with milk. Next you need some fruit or veggies, like oranges which are rich in vitamin C. You can also drink orange juice to get vitamin C too. A veggie omelet would also be a great choice for a healthy meal. Overall, this is all you need in your breakfast to start your day healthy and happy.
2. Work Out
Working out is a great way to start your day for many reasons. Some of those reasons are:
- exercise improves mood
- Boosts energy
- promotes better sleep
- combats diseases or medical conditions (diabetes, heart attack, stroke)
all of these reasons and more can help you have a better and more productive day. Working out is a great habit to start and can help with many things.
3. Go Outside
Going outside is a great way to get vitamin D and to add some peace to your mornings. Vitamin D is an important thing to add to your daily life for many reasons including:
- supporting immune health
- helps with muscle function
- helps with brain cell activity
Adding going outside to your morning routine is a great way to boost your health and happiness. I highly recommend it.
4. Stay off of Screens
As technology has advanced many of us have become addicted to screens such as phones, computers, and TVs. I myself struggle with staying off of screens too, but I assure you that if you stay off of screens in the mornings that it will change your day for the better. Staying off of screens in the morning will increase your productivity, and help you get more things done. Without screens you will be able to see the beauty of the world and be able to be more productive in your daily life.
5. Journal
Journaling is a great way to get thoughts and stress off your mind. putting journaling into your morning routine is a great way to start the day off stress free. You don’t have to just use your journal as a way to write about daily occurrences. You can write about other things such as:
- write about your favorite things
- make a to do list
- draw
- write a poem or short story
Now these are just some ideas to get you started, but you can journal in whatever way you want, and the possibilities are endless. Adding journaling into your morning routine will be a great way to start off your day.
6. Take a Cold Shower
I know Cold showers don’t sound so appealing, but I assure you once you start taking them you won’t go back. Cold showers have many benefits including:
- Cold showers wake you up
- They boost circulation
- increases endorphins
- help improve metabolism
- helps fight off common illnesses
All of these reasons should encourage you to start taking cold showers. It’s a great way to wake you up and start off the day.
7. Drink a Cup of Tea
Tea is known to relax. Drinking tea every morning can help relax your body and keep you calm throughout the day. It can also improve sleep and it can help those with mild to moderate insomnia. Tea also has antibacterial effects which can reduce cavity forming bacteria in the mouth. Tea can also lower your blood sugar, which lowers the risk of diabetes. All these reasons and more should be enough encouragement to get you to start drinking tea to start your day.
8. Meditate
Meditation is known to relax the body and to remove stress, but meditation has many more benefits than that including:
- promotes emotional health
- enhances self awarness
- lengthens attention span
- can decrease blood pressure
- may help with addiction
- can control anxiety
- may reduce age-related memory loss
You can even do meditation anywhere, like at the office, in your yard, in the car (not driving though). The possibilities of where you can meditate are endless. You can also meditate for any amount of time, whether its 5 minutes or for hours. No matter where or for how long you meditate it is a great habit to add to your morning routine.
9. Read
Reading is known to be great mental stimulation for the brain. What better time to read than in the morning. Readings benefits are endless, some of the benefits are:
- strengthen vocaulary
- improves memory
- stronger analytic thinking skills
- improves focus
Reading is simple and easy, and has so many benefits, so you should definitely add this simple habit to your morning. Plus, reading is fun. You get to read all sorts of stories about all different topics. You don’t just have to read a book; you could read much more. You can read newspapers, poetry, letters, and much more. Overall reading is an enjoyable and beneficial habit to put in your morning routine.
10. Selfcare
Selfcare is one of the most important things someone can do in their daily lives. You have to take care of yourself; no matter if it’s just as simple as giving yourself a break to treating yourself to some new clothes. No matter what you need to take care of yourself. Go ahead and treat yourself, because you deserve it.
